Asseran was born a noble. He and Lathal were close since their childhood. They shared their first kiss and explored their sexuality together. When Lathal joined Ystirin's army, Asseran confessed his love to him, but was rejected. Thinking he had lost his closest friend and unable to cope with the pain of seeing him, the bard fled the floating island to explore the continent. He gathered stories and sang in every country, learning their cultures and languages. He met a group of adventurers in a tavern where he felt quite uncomfortable and joined the group. They split ten years later when the orc-lady of the group died while defending a village. Only Zixin, an elven bard from Holist, stayed with him. 20 years later, the group was reuniting for the human king's funerals. They met Cerval, Asseran's boyfriend, a few months later. He rescued them when they were lost in Altaral's desert. The trio came to Ystirin a few months later; Asseran had been gone for a whole century. Reuniting with Lathal was much easier than he thought it would be, and since then their friendship has been stronger than ever.

His eyes are a very dark brown, nearly black, and are quite large. He has long curly ginger hair and long pointed ears. In human years, he looks about 30 years old.
Fashion
Asseran likes colourful clothing, especially in yellow (his favourite colour), corsets, high heel boots, fitted pants... anything to make everyone turn around when he steps in. He wears golden hoops on his lobes and smaller golden rings on the rest of his ears. He's always seen wearing a lot of gold jewelry.
